Half a Million IPhones in Russia
The iPhone is extremely popular in Russia although not officially for sale there.
The analyst Eldar Murtazin Mobile Research Group says that there are approximately 500,000 iPhones to operate in Russia, putting it into the third country in the world after the United States and China.
The iPhone are smuggled into the country and sold on the black market at prices that can reach 1,800 U.S. dollars and are bought by the rich class and some members of the Kremlin.
